Prime Minister of Pakistan Mr. Shehbaz Sharif announced that since assuming office in 2022, he has prevented Pakistan from defaulting, with guidance from Nawaz Sharif and Asif Zardari.
In a national address, Prime Minister Sharif highlighted that Pakistan is gradually overcoming economic challenges and progressing towards development and prosperity.
Sharif noted that following the February 8 election, his administration successfully reduced inflation from 38% to 12% and lowered loan interest rates from 22% to 20% through various measures.
Marking 100 days in office, the Prime Minister announced a further reduction in petrol prices, aiming to provide relief to those burdened by inflation.
He also condemned the oppression in Palestine, mentioning that 40,000 people have been martyred in Gaza, and decried the atrocities faced by Kashmiris in their struggle for freedom
