Arshad Nadeem, the national hero who secured a gold medal for Pakistan at the Paris Olympics, received a warm and enthusiastic welcome upon his arrival at Lahore Airport. The airport resonated with chants of “Arshad Nadeem” and “Pakistan Zindabad” as citizens hoisted their champion onto their shoulders in celebration.
Arshad Nadeem’s flight, TK 714, landed at Allama Iqbal Airport in Lahore 27 minutes behind schedule, touching down at 1:25 PM. Federal Minister Ahsan Iqbal, Chairman of the Prime Minister’s Youth Program Rana Mashhood, former Federal Minister Khawaja Saad Rafique, and other political figures, including Shaza Fatima, were present at the airport to greet the Olympic champion.
In the Airport State Lounge, Arshad Nadeem’s father embraced his son and adorned him with a garland of flowers, a gesture mirrored by Saad Rafique, Uzma Bukhari, and others who also garlanded the national hero. A large crowd of fans gathered at the airport to catch a glimpse of Arshad Nadeem, with thousands eager to see their hero in person.
His family, friends, and admirers traveled from Mian Chanu, Arshad Nadeem’s hometown, to join the welcoming party at Lahore Airport.
Speaking to the crowd, Arshad Nadeem expressed his gratitude to the nation for the honor and respect they had shown him. He thanked Allah for enabling him to win the gold medal at the Paris Olympics, attributing his success to the prayers of the nation and his parents. He shared that the journey to this achievement was long and arduous, involving relentless hard work and dedication.
As he exited the airport, Arshad Nadeem boarded a double-decker bus to acknowledge the large number of fans gathered outside. He waved to the crowd, responding to their chants and expressions of love by raising his hands in gratitude. Fans accompanied the bus, and banners and large photos of Arshad Nadeem adorned the airport’s exit.
