35 Pakistani Pilgrims Killed, 20 Injured in Tragic Bus Accident in Iran

TEHRAN

At least 35 people were killed and 20 others injured when a bus carrying Pakistani pilgrims overturned and caught fire near the Taftan-Dehshir checkpoint in Yazd, Iran, early Wednesday.

According to Iranian media, the bus was carrying 53 passengers when the accident occurred. Rescue teams and police swiftly responded, transferring the injured and deceased to local hospitals. Authorities have declared an emergency at hospitals to ensure immediate treatment for the wounded.

Mualana Qamar Abbas Naqvi, a member of a peace committee, confirmed the death toll at 35, with 15 others injured.
